OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental, May 23 (PIA)--Sa gitna ng coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, nakauwi na sa Misamis Ocidental ang nasa 152 na residenteng na-stranded sa Metro Manila dahil sa pagpapatupad ng enhance community quarantine.
Sakay ng isang sweeper flight via AirAsia Philippines, lumapag sa Ozamiz City, Labo Airport ang mga na-stranded na Misamisnos Biyernes ng hapon.
Ang probinsya ng Misamis Occidental sa pamamagitan ng programang Balik MisOcc ng Department of Tourism at Provincial Health Office sa pag tulong ng mga residenteng dumating.
Mula sa airport, Agad silang isinakay sa mga shuttle bus, van at ambulansya, at inihatid sa iba't ibang quarantine facilities sa probinsya para sumailalim sa 14-day quarantine.
Sa 152 na OFW's at residente, 7 ang taga Aloran, Baliangao 1, Bonifacio 7, Calamba 9, Clarin 14, Don Victoriano 8, Jimenez 14, Lopez Jaena 4, Oroquieta 13, Ozamiz City 38, Panaon-8, Plaridel 1, Sapang Dalaga 1, Tangub City 27 at 16 sa lungsod ng Tudela.
Ayon kay Provincial Legal Officer, Atty. Peter Lasmarias na ang lahat ng umuwi na residente ay sumailalim sa rapid anti-body testing sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) bago sumakay sa eroplano.
tinitiyak ni Provincial Legal Officer na mag sasagawa pa ng sweeper flight sa susunod na mga linggo upang matulungan yung iba pang na stranded na individual.
Samantala, Siniguro naman ng Provincial Tourism Officer, Moriel Lee na bilang pag-iingat, dumaan muna ang mga ito sa proseso na itinakda ng probinsya nang Misamis Occidental.
Labis naman ang saya at pasasalamat ng mga residente sa naging tulong ng probinsya sa pangunguna ni Governor Philip Tan dahil sa pinayagan silang maka uwi.
