CHANGSHA, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- The 4th Hunan Sports Tourism Festival opened in Youxian County, central China's Hunan province on September 19.
Held over two days, the Festival's first stage will be held at the Jiuxian Lake scenic area in Youxian County, while the second stage will be held in Lingwu County of Chenzhou in October, according to officials.
In addition to professional competitions for athletes, leisure activities for tourists will be offered as well.
"Youxian County is well-located and easy to access. I came here to spend a weekend with my family," said Yang, a tourist from the provincial capital Changsha. "The lively atmosphere gives us a great time!"
The event is held by the Hunan Sports Bureau and organized by the Hunan Sports Industry Group.
