FRANKFURT, July 21 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 206.23 points, or 1.36 percent, to close at 15,422.50 points.
Siemens Energy, the energy division of Siemens Group, won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 4.92 percent. Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero and Deutsche Bank gained 4.31 percent and 4.27 percent respectively.
Multinational software corporation SAP, housing association Deutsche Wohnen and pharmaceutical company Merck were the top three losers among the blue chips, down by 2.49 percent, 0.50 percent and 0.36 percent respectively.
SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 627.75 million euros (738.99 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose by 1.40 percent to close at 1.771 euros per share on Wednesday.
