DUBAI, 10th May, 2022 (WAM) -- Amr El-Kady, Chief Executive Officer of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board, said everyone in Egypt and the Arab world values UAE's pioneering efforts in advancement, prosperity and innovation, especially its hosting of several key events.
The UAE, he added, is a source of pride for all Arabs.
In a statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during Egypt's participation in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2022 in Dubai, El-Kady stressed his country's keenness to highlight touristic attractions to its partners in the global tourism sector.
El-Kady affirmed that Egypt is the heart of the Arab world and is a leading travel destination due to its many attractions, including its unique civilisation and ease of travel.
The Egyptian government is now prepared to receive tourists, and the country has implemented precautionary measures to facilitate travel procedures for individuals from various nationalities, he added.
El-Kady noted that the procedures adopted by the Ministry of Tourism, in coordination with the Egyptian government, during the COVID-19 pandemic include the closure and sanitisation of hotels and the vaccination of tourism sector workers.
He then called on tourists to visit Egypt, stressing that the latest figures are promising, and highlighted the general state of optimism in the tourism sector, which is one of the country's leading sources of income.
There are positive indicators for the return to normalcy of the Egyptian tourism sector, with the world gradually recovering from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, he affirmed.
The markets targeted by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism are Western Europe, Eastern Europe and the United States, in addition to the Arab markets, which are the most important target markets, El-Kady said in conclusion.
